Gameplay Need for Speed: Shift PPSSPP
Aimed at a hardcore gamer-style audience, Shift returns to the touring car simulation style of its 2007 predecessor, Need for Speed: ProStreet. While the gameplay of the two titles is similar, Shift recreates car handling that is far more realistic than its predecessor, and is devoid of story.
When starting career mode, players take two laps around the Brands Hatch circuit to determine their skills. Once completed, players are welcomed to the ‘NFS Live World Series’, and must earn stars in races to earn money as well as unlock new races and tiers.
The G-force plays an important role in the game as it affects both the player and the AI. The in-car display also returns, making its first appearance in a Need for Speed game since Porsche Unleashed. The in-car view is very detailed and it is possible to see the driver changing gears and moving his head to get a better view of the mirrors. Collisions affect the player’s visuals.
