Persona 2: Innocent Sin PPSSPP ISO Download – Persona 2: Innocent Sin is a Japanese role playing video game developed and released by Atlus for the PlayStation in 1999. This game is the second episode in the Persona series which is a subseries of Megami Tensei, and serves as a sequel to the original Persona. The game was re-released in 2011 for the PlayStation Portable. The original version was not localized for the west, but the PSP version was released in North America and Europe under the title Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 2 – Innocent Sin.
Innocent Sin takes place in the fictional Sumaru City, focusing on a group of high school students from Seven Sisters High School. The protagonist Tatsuya Suou and a group of friends have to face an evil figure named Joker who causes the spread of misleading rumors throughout the city. Groups are aided in their quest by their Persona, personified aspects of their personality.
The gameplay features turn-based combat gameplay, in which characters use their Personas in battle against demons and a separate Rumor system where rumors spreading around the town can affect events in the character’s favor.
Development of Innocent Sin began after the release of the original Persona and has kept most of the original staff. The game carries on the story theme and basic gameplay mechanics of Persona, while tweaking and improving some of the mechanics. The characters were designed by Kazuma Kaneko and Shigenori Soejima.
Gameplay Persona 2: Innocent Sin PPSSPP
Persona 2: Innocent Sin is a role-playing game in which players control a group of high school students as they explore the fictional city of Sumaru. The camera follows the party from an adjustable tilt overhead perspective. Cities are generally navigated using a map of the outside world.
The game’s main party can accommodate up to five characters. Whenever the party is in a “safe” area (i.e. a room without encountering demons), any member of the party can be spoken to. The party’s route through the dungeon can be tracked using AutoMap, a ground floor plan of the current dungeon. When the main character moves, the map will automatically mark a new area.
The main gameplay and story element is the Rumor system, whereby if the party hears a rumor from an NPC, they can spread the rumor using the detective agency Kuzunoha, making the rumor true and creating an effect on the environment. These effects can range from spawning character-specific accessories or weapons, to triggering the appearance of new shops for the party to use.
Combat includes both story-triggered encounters and random encounters within dungeons. During these encounters, the party is given a series of commands and executes them in one turn, then given the option to change their strategy during the next turn. During battle, characters fight using melee attacks, use items purchased from the shop outside of combat, and cast various spells using their Persona.
Each character has a starting Persona and each Persona has different elemental strengths and weaknesses. Different Personas can be used for defense, healing, or elemental attacks. Although the initial Persona is quite weak, if used sufficiently, it will reach a higher rank. In addition to individual actions, players can align characters to trigger Fusion Spells i.e. when two or more party members use a specific spell sequence, they will automatically summon multiple Personas to produce powerful attacks. The party can be controlled manually or act using the Auto-battle option.
During the battle, the player can communicate with most of the enemies, depending on which character is talking to which enemy, they will trigger different responses. If the enemy speaks the right way, they will leave behind items or spell cards (tarot cards associated with a specific Arcanum or Persona family group), items used to summon new Personas, i.e. certain cards grant access to a different Persona family group. Once a Persona is summoned and assigned to a character, that character’s stats and abilities change.
Active Personas can also be combined with spell cards to create more powerful versions. This Persona summoning and fusion takes place in the Velvet Room, a special location separate from the rest of the game’s environment. In addition to pre-set spell cards, players can also get blank skill cards by forming contracts with enemies through proper conversation. These blank skill cards can be customized to suit the selected Persona family.
