Esports Premier League 2021 reaches 1 million registrations in the Free Fire tournament: The inaugural edition of the National Esports League, Esports Premier League (ESPL) 2021 has seen an unprecedented response from the gaming community with massive 1 million registrations and the last phase of user registration has just concluded. Registration for the event began on June 16, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, season 1 of the league will run for virtually two and a half months. ESPL 2021, which has the Infinix smartphone as the title sponsor, is played under the aegis of a player-centric campaign. #ESPLGameSeFame which encourages players to showcase their best games and be recognized in the industry.
Esports Premier League 2021: Level 1
India’s first franchise-based esports league for Free Fire, ESPL, is preparing for the second tier of the tournament. Out of the over 1 million registered users, roughly the top 400 players from 88 teams will progress to Tier 2, where the top 8 invited teams from India will join the mix. This will bring the total number of teams to 96 teams in the level. These teams will be divided into 8 groups of 12 each to compete for the first 8 places. The top 8 teams will represent the 8 ESPL regions.

At the end of Level 2, ESPL will have the best Free Fire teams in India. The scale of the tournament highlights ESPL 2021 as the platform for all Free Fire players to show off their skills. The tournament that crossed 1 million records serves as testimony to outline the importance of the platform. This number also points to the growing interest in e-sports in India. Most of the players signed up to participate in the tournament in the final days of the registration phase and this number is a testament to the league’s far-reaching impact and popularity in the gaming space. The prize money for the ESPL 2021 is INR 25 lakh.
